quote: u dont need cotter pins or ball joint seperator. u dont need too touch them!! just the lcas and the sway bars!!!. that's another way to do it. just make sure you get an alignment after if you tweak it too bad.
Ok,
I would like to see some pics of the lca and all the thing I need to
pull out my tranny soon and I think this way is the best caus it will
make more room for the trany to pass under the car, I never remooved
them though and want to make shure, probably that I will be able witout
any help but other people have asked for it and i just want to make
shure I dont crap my alignement ! kranked

pictures are worth a thousand words, it
would help clarify. I dont think that ball joints are that hard to take
out, so sayign that this is way easier makes we wan tto knwo more. I
have changed plenty of clutches and everythign else to knwo what a LCA
is. I was just askinng fo ra picture as were the other fellas.

i say 3-4 hours, you will want to torque all
the pressure plate/disc bolts that go to the flywheel to 19lbs. I
forgot the torque specs for the flywheel, also before starting on the
tranny remember to remove battery, speed cable, intake, reverse light
sensor, dissconnect linkage, also drain the fluid. any other questions
drop me a line.

After removing the axle nut, put the car on jack stands.
Remove the wheel(s) Undo Bolts (2) #19 (Radius Rod) #16 (Lower Control Arm Pivot) #17 (Strut Pinch) (Not Numbered, but the nut is #20) Fork Lower Bolt (Removing the whole fork makes it even easier) Sway Bar End Link(s) #s 22, 3, 14 & 15 Undo all that crap, then
release the steering lock and turn the steering all the way in, You can
now pull, or push the whole hub assembly away from the car a bit, and
you have more than enough room to remove the inner joint from the
tranny, then push (don’t pull) the axle out of the hub. Sounds difficult, but it is the easy way if you ask me.

anyways its all in and runs great. the new pressure plate feels good and so does the lightened flywheel. howver
i had to use my old disc since it still has reasonable life and because
i ordered the wrong clutch kit. my tranny has 21 splines instead of 20
splines. So i guess now i know! Thanks for all the help!

I dont know if anyone else mention this but
there is a much easier way to remove the shift linkage. I hammered at
the "bitch pin" for an hour and a half an the thing did not budge. My
friend simply removed the shift linkage from the side bolts the the
shifter itself he had that side down in less than ten minutes. This was
on a 92 integra though so it might be different for a civic or crx.also the LCA is definitely the way to go
